This year Hebei is advancing the construction of more than 68 electronic information projects with an investment of over 1 billion yuan.

According to Hebei News Network, Sun Ruisheng, director of the Electronic Information Industry Department of the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, introduced that this year, Hebei will promote the construction of 68 projects with a value of more than 100 million yuan, including 22 new projects and 46 projects under construction. The focus will be on 10 projects related to domestic substitution, strengthening supply chains, and gaining high market share. "This year, Hebei will implement 2 national special projects and 3 provincial science and technology special projects," Sun Ruisheng said. Among them, the 3 provincial science and technology special projects will focus on breakthroughs in key technologies such as large-size silicon carbide-based gallium nitride epitaxy growth, gallium nitride power amplifiers for 5G-A sensing integrated base stations, and terahertz security inspection core devices in the third-generation semiconductor field; low-orbit satellite network communication, satellite ground control stations, and multifunctional chips for satellite Internet in the aerospace information field; AMOLED eye protection for all scenarios, flexible wearable phototherapy devices, and new generation AI computing power cards in the consumer electronics field. In terms of promoting cluster development, Hebei will promote the construction of 2 national advanced manufacturing industry clusters: the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei integrated circuit industry cluster and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei new generation information technology application innovation cluster, deepen industrial chain cooperation, and achieve complementary development. Promote the development of 3 characteristic industry clusters: the Luquan electronic information industry cluster, the Gu'an electronic information industry cluster, and the Zhangjiakou big data industry cluster. Accelerate the construction of 3 national BeiDou pilot cities: Shijiazhuang, Cangzhou, and Xiongan New Area. In accelerating the development of computing power industry, Hebei will speed up the construction of projects such as the Alibaba Zhuozhou cloud computing data center project, the Baidu cloud computing center project, and optimize the Xiongan "Kuangling" full supply chain vertical model.
