Recently, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, together with the National Health Commission, the Ministry of Emergency Management, the State Taxation Administration, and the National Medical Security Administration, jointly issued the "Interim Provisions on the Protection of the Basic Rights and Interests of Elderly Workers". What basic rights and interests of elderly workers are stipulated in the "Interim Provisions"? The "Interim Provisions" have made clear regulations on the labor remuneration, rest and vacation, labor safety and health, and work injury protection of elderly workers. In terms of labor remuneration, it explicitly requires timely and full payment of labor remuneration, with the remuneration not less than the minimum wage standard. With regard to rest and vacation, it explicitly requires compliance with statutory working hours and holiday leave regulations, generally not arranging overtime work for elderly workers, and those who are arranged for overtime work must comply with relevant provisions of the Labor Law.
