European chip and data center stocks rise, technology stocks outperform the market.

The technology sector became the best performing sector in Europe on Friday, with semiconductor stocks leading the way. Stocks related to AI data centers also generally rose. The STOXX 600 Technology Index rose 2.2%, while the STOXX 600 Index rose 0.7%. In terms of chip stocks: ASML Holdings rose 3.2%, ASM International rose 2.6%, BE Semiconductor rose 2.0%, Infineon rose 5.2%, and STMicroelectronics rose 3.7%.
