Zhejiang: The added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 7.3% year on year in April.

On May 21st, the Zhejiang Provincial Bureau of Statistics released the economic performance of Zhejiang in April 2026. In April, the value added of industrial enterprises above a designated size increased by 7.3% year-on-year. Among the 37 major industries, the value added of 27 industries was growing positively, accounting for 73.0% of the total. Specifically, the value added of industries such as automobiles, computer communication electronics, general equipment, textiles, and electricity grew by 27.1%, 19.6%, 8.2%, 7.3%, and 7.1% respectively, collectively driving the growth of the value added of industrial enterprises above a designated size by 5.5 percentage points. Emerging industries led the growth, with the value added of high-tech manufacturing industries above a designated size, core industries in the digital economy, and equipment manufacturing industries increasing by 17.5%, 15.1%, and 12.2% respectively, contributing to the growth of the value added of industrial enterprises above a designated size by 3.0, 2.7, and 6.3 percentage points. From January to April, the value added of industrial enterprises above a designated size grew by 8.0%.
