The General Office of the People's Government of Yunnan Province issued the Implementation Plan for Strengthening the Construction of Digital Information Superhighway and Promoting the High-quality Development of the Digital Industry. It proposes to build an integrated network of air, sky, and land. Expand the construction scale of 5G, gigabit optical network, and optimize key network routes connecting the province with Chengdu-Chongqing, the Greater Bay Area, the Yangtze River Delta, and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regions. Increase the bandwidth of cross-border land cable systems, build a low-latency communication circle covering Kunming City, central Yunnan, the province, domestic, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. Promote the coverage of communication networks in low-altitude scenarios as needed, layout satellite communication, Beidou navigation, remote sensing and telemetry ground infrastructure, build fast communication links between space and ground and a "space-earth network" monitoring system, and other projects.
