As of 7:39 on May 20th, heavy rain yellow warning is issued for Yuexiu District, Tianhe District, Liwan District, Haizhu District, Panyu District, Baiyun District, and Huadu District in Guangzhou city; orange warning for Huangpu District and Zengcheng District; orange warning for Taiping Town, Jiekou Street, Wenquan Town, and Jiangpu Street in Conghua District, and yellow warning for other towns and streets in Conghua District; red warning for Dongchong Town, Lanhe Town, and Dagang Town in Nansha District, and orange warning for other towns and streets in Nansha District is also in effect. Additionally, there is an orange warning for thunderstorms and strong winds in Nansha District, and a yellow warning for thunderstorms and strong winds in Huangpu District and Zengcheng District. Students and parents are advised to pay attention to safety. According to the "Guidelines for Public Response to Major Meteorological Disasters in Guangzhou" and the "Guidelines for Dealing with Typhoon and Heavy Rain Disaster Weather in the Education System of Guangzhou", students who have not started their journey to school should delay going to school when a yellow warning for heavy rain is issued in their area. They should also delay going to school when an orange warning for heavy rain is issued, and should stay home if a red warning for heavy rain is issued.
