In March, EU exports to the United States fell by 37.1% year-on-year, marking the largest decline since records began in 2003, highlighting the significant trade volatility caused by US tariff policies. Due to businesses rushing to ship goods before anticipated tariff measures by US President Donald Trump, EU exports to the US had previously surged by a record 59.4% in March 2025. EU exports to the US in March 2026 amounted to 45 billion euros, roughly the same as the 44.9 billion euros in the same period in 2024.
