On May 19th, at the Shanghai AMD AI Developer Day event, AMD (AMD.O) CEO Lisa Su gave a speech for about 10 minutes. In her speech, Su talked about AMD's commitment to the Greater China region, mentioning that AMD has over 4,000 engineers in its R&D centers in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Taipei. The AMD EPYC processor is already being used in over 700 cloud instances supporting top cloud services in China. The company also has ecosystem partnerships with over 100 software providers, startups, and universities. Su made predictions about the trends in AI development, stating that there were around 1 million active AI users globally in 2020, expected to exceed 1 billion by 2025 and reach 5 billion by 2030. This means that in the next 5 years, there will be 5 billion people using AI daily. (Yi Cai)
