The 79th World Health Assembly opens in Geneva.

On May 18th, local time, the 79th World Health Assembly opened in Geneva. The theme of this session is "Reshaping Global Health, Sharing Responsibility Together." The meeting will cover more than 60 topics, including noncommunicable diseases, mental health, universal health coverage, prevention and response to public health emergencies, as well as technical issues such as the World Health Organization's planning, budgeting, funding, implementation for 2026-2027, audit supervision, human resources, and other administrative management issues.
