Radioactive substances were detected in a drainage well near the turbine building of a nuclear power plant in Miyagi Prefecture, Japan.

On the 15th, Tohoku Electric Power Company announced that traces of radioactive steam were detected in the drainage well underneath the turbine building of Unit 2 at the Onagawa Nuclear Power Plant in Miyagi Prefecture. Therefore, they will stop the reactor of Unit 2 for inspection.
