On the 8th local time, Spain and the UK announced the discovery of suspected cases of the Hantan virus. Preliminary investigations show that these suspected cases are all related to the cruise ship "Hundius." The Spanish Ministry of Health stated on the 8th that a woman who had traveled on the same flight as a passenger on the cruise ship "Hundius" who later died from the virus, is being treated in the province of Alicante in Spain due to symptoms similar to Hantan virus infection. The UK Department of Health also stated on the 8th that a suspected case related to the cruise ship was found on Tristan da Cunha Island in the South Atlantic. This suspected case is a man who had traveled on the "Hundius" cruise ship, which had docked at Tristan da Cunha Island from April 13th to 15th.
