British company "trains" humanoid robot as a waste sorting worker.
The work environment of garbage sorting is tough, with high health risks and high turnover rates. A garbage processing company in the UK has specially "trained" humanoid robot garbage sorters in order to improve work efficiency. According to the report by BBC on the 4th, this garbage processing company is located in Rainham, East London, and is operated by the family-owned "Sharp Group". On the conveyor belt, old shoes, videotapes, and even cement blocks and other garbage flow into the factory like a river, with 24 employees working in shifts, sorting about 280,000 tons of garbage per year. The company stated that due to the limitations of the work environment, despite maintaining high safety standards, the rate of workplace injuries and illnesses caused by work is still about 45% higher than other industries, and the turnover rate of employees is as high as 40% per year.
