According to the Zhitong Finance APP, the National Immigration Administration announced on May 6th that during this year's May Day holiday, national border inspection agencies ensured the entry and exit of a total of 11.279 million Chinese and foreign individuals, with an average of 2.256 million people per day, representing a 3.5% increase compared to last year's May Day holiday. The peak day for entry and exit clearance was on May 2nd, with 2.529 million people passing through. Of these, 1.255 million were foreign nationals, a 12.5% increase compared to the same period last year. Among the foreign nationals entering the country, 436,000 arrived under the visa-free policy, representing a 14.7% increase from the previous year. A total of 531,000 entry and exit transportation vehicles (ships, trains, and vehicles) were inspected, a 16.6% increase from the same period last year.
