On May 5th, local time, the South African Ministry of Health confirmed that a British male patient being treated in South Africa tested positive for the Hantavirus. Currently, his condition is critical and he is receiving isolation treatment at a private medical institution in Sandton, Johannesburg. The South African Ministry of Health stated that such cases are rare, and there is currently no evidence of the virus spreading in South African society. The public does not need to panic.
