"Islamic State" attacks northeastern Nigeria, at least 29 people killed.
The extremist organization "Islamic State" claimed responsibility on the 27th for the attack that occurred the day before in the northeastern Nigerian state of Adamawa. Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri confirmed that at least 29 people were killed in the attack. Eyewitnesses said that at around 5 pm on the 26th, armed men stormed the community primary school playground where a football match was taking place and opened fire on the crowd. Subsequently, the attackers entered the community and started shooting at villagers. In addition, the attackers set fire to a large number of motorcycles and burned down a church.
