Eni Group and Repsol joint venture seek to increase production at the Cardon IV gas field in Venezuela.
Spanish Repsol and Italian Eni are seeking to increase the daily production of Venezuela's Cardon IV gas field to 645 million cubic feet, the project manager said at an oil conference held in Caracas on Monday. The gas field currently produces around 580 million cubic feet per day, said project manager Gonzalo Antonio Carrillo at the "Venezuela Energy" conference. He did not specify when the companies hope to achieve this new target. "We will advance progressively. The first step is to increase production slightly to 645 million," Carrillo said, adding that the next step for the companies will be to drill more wells and improve the infrastructure of the gas field.
