Sam, former president of China, Wan Ande, has been appointed as the CEO of Metro China.

Former Sam's Club China President Andrew Wenan officially took on the role of CEO of Metro China on April 27, 2026. Andrew joined Walmart China in 2012, where he held positions such as Chief Operating Officer of Sam's Club, President, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Walmart China. He is widely recognized as a key figure in driving the rapid growth of Sam's Club membership stores in China and officially retired on January 31, 2025.
