Canada launched safeguard measures investigation on imported wood products.

On April 21, the China Trade Remedy Information Network reported that the Canadian International Trade Court announced that it has initiated safeguard measures investigations on imported wooden products. The products involved in the case have Canadian customs codes including 9403.40.00.10, 9403.60.10.31, 9403.60.10.39, 4409.29.10.00, 4409.29.90.41, 4409.29.90.49, 4418.74.00.00, 4418.75.00.10, 4418.75.00.90, 4418.79.00.00, 9403.50.00.90, 9403.60.10.10, 9403.60.10.60, and 9403.60.10.91. The products involved include: solid wood and engineered wood cabinets and vanity cabinets; solid wood and engineered hardwood flooring; engineered wood storage furniture. Stakeholders should register their responses with the Canadian International Trade Court by May 15, 2026.
