Amazon is launching a project through its primary care division, One Medical, to provide GLP-1 therapy. The company announced on Tuesday that this new project aims to provide ongoing medical supervision compared to one-time weight management offerings from other suppliers, allowing clinical physicians to monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and address related health issues. Through the project, customers can access Novo Nordisk's Wegovy and Eli Lilly's Foundayo GLP-1 weight loss tablets, with a starting price covered by insurance of $25 per month, and a self-pay option of $149 per month. The starting self-pay price of $149 is comparable to the prices offered by projects from companies like Hims & Hers Health, Walgreens, and Weight Watchers.
