Canadian gold mining company Agnico Eagle Mines has signed a final agreement to fully integrate the Central Lapland Greenstone Belt in northern Finland through three separate transactions, creating a multi-asset, multi-decade regional platform. The company will acquire Rupert Resources for approximately 2.9 billion Canadian dollars, Aurion Resources for 481 million Canadian dollars in all-cash, and 70% equity of the Fingold joint venture owned by B2Gold for 325 million USD. As Aurion holds the remaining 30% equity, Agnico will own 100% of Fingold after the transactions are completed.
