The Dangote Group of Nigeria is accelerating its strategic transformation of its refinery in Lagos from traditional fuel production to the high-profit chemical sector. As a core part of the group's "2030 revenue reaching $100 billion" strategy, Dangote plans to increase the refinery's crude oil processing capacity from the current 650,000 barrels per day to 1.4 million barrels per day, making it the largest single refinery facility in the world.
