Jill Hirzel of Insight Investment stated in a report that due to increased uncertainty in inflation prospects, UK government bond yields are expected to remain volatile. The Middle East conflict has led to energy supply disruptions and an increase in oil prices, adding to inflation risks. Hirzel also mentioned that political tensions and possible changes in the UK leadership may further contribute to the volatility of government bond yields. Data from Tradeweb shows that the 10-year UK government bond yield has risen by 6.2 basis points to 4.813%, reversing the decline seen on Friday.
