The National Security Agency of the United States is still using the most powerful large model developed by the artificial intelligence company Anthropic - Mythos Preview. Despite senior officials in the Department of Defense overseeing the NSA having already identified Anthropic as posing a supply chain security risk and placing the company on a restricted list, the cybersecurity needs of the U.S. government have now overshadowed the conflicting issues between the Department of Defense and Anthropic. In February of this year, the Department of Defense ordered the comprehensive discontinuation of Anthropic's related products and requested all collaborating suppliers to simultaneously discontinue use, with ongoing administrative disputes. Currently, while the U.S. military argues in court that the use of the company's tools would jeopardize national security, it is simultaneously expanding the actual usage of Anthropic's artificial intelligence tools.
