Shipping in the Hormuz Strait is once again stalled as three ships were attacked near the Strait of Hormuz.
According to British sources, the shipping in the Strait of Hormuz came to a standstill again on the evening of the 18th. Prior to this, radio communications warnings stated that the Iranian armed forces have resumed "strict management and control" of the strait. Several ships in the area heard the warnings and this has been confirmed. On the same day, the British maritime security firm Vanguard Maritime Company released a report revealing the details of an attack on three ships in the waters near the Strait of Hormuz, involving an oil tanker, a cruise ship, and a container ship. Two of the ships were clearly warned by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard and fired upon, while the third container ship was hit by unidentified projectiles 25 nautical miles northeast of Oman, damaging some of the containers.
