China-ASEAN relations are getting closer, and the number of passengers from ASEAN countries at Baiyun Airport has increased significantly.

In 2026, it will be the 5th anniversary of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and ASEAN. With the continuous deepening of economic and trade, cultural tourism, and people-to-people exchanges, the flow of people between China and ASEAN countries has become more frequent. Influenced by the ongoing 139th Canton Fair, the recent influx of inbound and outbound travelers from ASEAN countries at Baiyun Airport has been on the rise. According to information obtained from Baiyun Border Checkpoint, as of 0:00 on April 17th, the total number of inbound and outbound travelers from ASEAN countries through Baiyun Airport has reached approximately 845,000, a 40.2% increase compared to the same period last year.
