Former Burmese President Win Min was pardoned.

On April 17, in celebration of Myanmar's traditional New Year, President Min Aung Hlaing signed a presidential pardon. Former President Win Myint was granted a pardon and will be released to go home. Former President Win Myint had been sentenced to nine years and six months in prison for multiple corruption charges.
