On April 17th, the State Council Information Office held a series of themed press conferences on the theme "Starting the '15th Five-Year Plan'". It introduced the situation related to promoting high-quality economic and social development during the '15th Five-Year Plan' period. Wang Changlin, Deputy Director of the National Development and Reform Commission, said that the '15th Five-Year Plan' outline proposed many innovative measures. Third, it will focus on solving urgent problems faced by the people, and strive to guarantee and improve their livelihood. Fourth, it will emphasize coordinated development and security, enhance economic and social resilience, and ensure food and energy security in their own hands. The next step will involve the thorough implementation of the '15th Five-Year Plan' outline, the promulgation of national special plans, the acceleration of the implementation of 109 major engineering projects, and the continuous consolidation and expansion of the overall positive trend of economic stability and improvement.
