On April 17, the State Council Information Office held a series of themed press conferences on the theme of "Starting the '14th Five-Year Plan'". Fu Jiuling, Director of the Industry Development Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, said that the purpose of intelligence is to improve efficiency, not simply to replace workers, and we need to find the right policy balance. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the construction of a modern industrial system with advanced manufacturing as its backbone is a top priority. Next, the focus will be on promoting the high-end, intelligent, and green development of the manufacturing industry. In addition, in terms of green development, carbon peaking and carbon neutrality are solemn commitments of the Chinese government and active choices for industrial upgrading. Achieving this goal will require strenuous efforts.
