Two senior bankers at Goldman Sachs in Asia are reportedly resigning.
Two senior bankers at Goldman Sachs Group plan to leave the bank after seven years in its Asian business, a recent series of departures highlighting the challenges the US bank faces in the region. Sources familiar with the matter said that Dawei Huang, co-head of China technology, media and telecommunications at the bank, plans to leave the banking industry and join a tech company. As this information has not been made public, the sources requested anonymity. The sources also said that Samuel Thong, head of healthcare investment banking in Asia excluding Japan, will also be leaving. Neither Huang nor Thong have officially resigned, and both have not responded to media requests for comment.
