Snap's pre-trading stock has risen sharply in a straight line, now up more than 9%, with forecasted first quarter revenue for 2026 at $1.529 billion, a 12% year-on-year increase, and adjusted EBITDA of $233 million. Snap plans to cut 16% of its workforce, affecting approximately 1000 full-time employees, in order to pursue profitability goals. In addition, Snap's newly established XR subsidiary, Specs, has announced a long-term partnership with Qualcomm on the upcoming AR glasses, with Qualcomm committing to provide Snapdragon chips for future iterative products. Both companies have reiterated that Snap's next-generation Specs will be released "later this year".
