In the first quarter of this year, Xinjiang Power Grid's new energy generation reached 38.1 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 28.3% year-on-year. The scale of new energy development and the level of efficient utilization continue to improve. According to calculations, the new energy generation in Xinjiang in the first quarter is equivalent to saving 11.52 million tons of standard coal, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 31.11 million tons, and planting trees equivalent to 1.376 billion. Xinjiang has abundant wind and solar resources and is a core area for large-scale wind and photovoltaic base planning and layout in the country.
