Qatar announced that it will resume "full" maritime navigation in the Persian Gulf on the 12th.

On April 11th local time, the Qatari Ministry of Transport announced that maritime navigation of all types of vessels in the Persian Gulf will be fully restored on April 12th local time. The ministry released a statement stating that the navigation time for all types of vessels is from 6 am to 6 pm. The statement also added that vessels holding fishing permits can navigate throughout the day. The ministry urged all vessel operators to comply with the relevant instructions and ensure that all necessary safety equipment is in place and functioning properly before and during navigation to ensure the safety of all journeys. As of now, Iran, which controls the Strait of Hormuz, has not issued an official statement on whether they have coordinated with Qatar on this matter. Meanwhile, the United States and Iran are holding talks in Pakistan aimed at ending the US-Iran conflict.
