Anthropic has agreed to lease data center capacity from CoreWeave to meet the increasing demands of its AI services. In a statement on Friday, CoreWeave said that this multi-year agreement will help Anthropic build and deploy its Claude AI model. CoreWeave CEO Traetto stated that the agreement will include a variety of NVIDIA chip architectures within US data centers. Both companies have declined to disclose the financial terms of the agreement. Like OpenAI, Anthropic has been at the forefront of the AI services boom and at times struggles to maintain its products' online operations due to what it describes as "unprecedented demand." Earlier this week, Anthropic announced partnerships with Broadcom and Google to obtain 3.5 gigawatts of energy (1 gigawatt of power is enough to simultaneously power approximately 750,000 American households).
