The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Transportation have issued a notice to support the new round of national comprehensive freight hub improvement action. Starting from 2026, with about 3 years of concentrated effort, support will be provided to around 30 cities to implement the new round of national comprehensive freight hub improvement action, focusing on the "6 axes, 7 corridors, 8 channels" of the national comprehensive multi-dimensional transportation network. The action will use railways as the backbone, roads as the foundation, and fully leverage the comparative advantages of water transportation and civil aviation to accelerate the construction of a national comprehensive transportation hub system integrating hub clusters, hub cities, and hub ports and stations.
