National television channels are eliminating all false medical advertising.
In response to the issue of false advertising, exaggeration, using efficacy as proof, and promoting cure rates in pharmaceutical advertisements on radio and television, the State Administration of Radio and Television carried out a concentrated rectification nationwide starting in August 2025. Together with provincial radio and television administrative departments, they developed specific work plans, implemented measures such as complaint acceptance, monitoring and investigation, judgment and identification, and supervision and rectification, increased enforcement efforts, strengthened collaborative governance, and ensured timely discovery, accurate identification, and effective handling of illegal advertisements. By the end of March this year, all national television channels have completely removed false pharmaceutical advertisements.
