86,000 people set a new record, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed rail welcomes a peak in Hong Kong residents traveling north.

The reporter learned from the Guangzhou Railway Bureau that on April 3, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railway welcomed a peak in travel for Hong Kong residents heading north. On that day, a total of 239 cross-border passenger trains were operated, transporting a total of 119,000 cross-border passengers. Among them, the number of passengers traveling from Hong Kong to the mainland reached 86,000, setting a new record and showing a strong demand for cross-border travel. From April 3 to 7, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong high-speed railway is expected to transport more than 600,000 cross-border passengers, an increase of 10.6% compared to the same period last year, demonstrating a strong momentum in cross-border mobility.
