On the first day of the Qingming holiday, the national road traffic was smooth and orderly.
Today is the first day of the Qingming Festival holiday. With activities such as ancestor worship, tomb sweeping, spring outings, and travel for work and farming, there is a significant increase in traffic flow on major highways and national/provincial roads. In some areas, there is heavy traffic on roads leading in and out of cities, as well as around scenic areas and cemeteries. As of 6:00 pm, apart from some sections of roads experiencing slow traffic due to high volume, overall road traffic across the country is stable and orderly, with no reports of severe traffic congestion or major traffic accidents. Public security and traffic management departments in various regions are adjusting police and equipment deployment in accordance with the characteristics of holiday travel patterns and changes in traffic volume, enhancing control and management efforts on key road sections, cracking down on key vehicles and prominent violations, carrying out extensive traffic safety publicity and education, and making every effort to ensure smooth road traffic and the safety of the public during travel.
