Poll: Americans are generally pessimistic about US-Iran conflict, with over 70% opposing the deployment of ground troops.
On April 3rd local time, a poll jointly released by Reuters and Ipsos Group showed that the American public overall holds a pessimistic attitude towards the military strikes launched by the United States against Iran, and are generally concerned about the impact of the conflict on the economy, security, and the situation in the Middle East. The nationwide survey was conducted from March 27th to 29th and covered 1,021 American adults. The results showed that 56% of respondents believe that the conflict will have a negative impact on their personal financial situation. At the same time, 86% of respondents expressed concern for the safety of American military personnel. The public's assessment of the situation in the Middle East is also pessimistic, with 52% of respondents expecting the stability of the region to deteriorate. In addition, the poll also showed that over three-quarters of Americans oppose the deployment of ground troops to Iran.
