Official report: A mountain blasting in Xingye County, Guangxi, resulted in injuries to nearby villagers and damage to their houses.

On April 2nd, villagers in Kuixiang Town, Xingye County, Guangxi, reported that blasting operations were being carried out near the village, resulting in injuries to individuals and damage to houses. Currently, the Guangxi Xingye County Natural Resources Bureau has issued the following announcement regarding the incident: On April 2, 2026, during the control of hidden dangers on steep slopes in Shangquan Village, Kuixiang Town, Xingye County, Guangxi, the construction unit experienced flying debris during blasting operations, resulting in one individual sustaining arm injuries and 14 households having their doors, windows, and asbestos roof tiles damaged. After the incident, the injured individual was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment and is currently in stable condition. Following the incident, the Guangxi Xingye County Natural Resources Bureau immediately ordered the construction unit to cease blasting operations in the area and coordinated with relevant units to carry out comprehensive safety hazard inspections and rectifications to prevent similar incidents from happening again. Currently, the post-incident disposal work is proceeding in an orderly manner.
