Analyst: The cryptocurrency market may remain active during the holiday weekend.
The cryptocurrency market trades around the clock and remains open today, while other markets are closed for Good Friday. Analysts at the Coinbase institutional research department stated that cryptocurrencies may be one of the few channels that can immediately respond to news from Iran. The company said, "This is one of the few places where market participants can find refuge," adding that Iran's hardline stance could result in investors maintaining a certain level of risk premium in cryptocurrency prices. These analysts stated, "We believe that the market will continue to reflect moderate geopolitical risk premiums in cryptocurrencies until there is a clearer direction on when the conflict may end." According to data from the London Stock Exchange Group, Bitcoin fell by 0.1% to $66,900, while Ethereum fell by 0.8% to $2,052.
