According to CoinDesk, Donald Trump appointed former private lawyer and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche as acting Attorney General after firing Attorney General Pam Bondi. Todd Blanche had previously disbanded the Department of Justice's National Cryptocurrency Enforcement Team (NCET) and signed a memorandum instructing prosecutors not to pursue regulatory violations in the cryptocurrency industry while serving as Deputy Attorney General. This memorandum was cited by the Southern District of New York prosecutor's office in the case of Roman Storm, the developer of Tornado Cash, ultimately leading to one charge being dropped. Yamato Securities strategist Shun Otani stated that if some form of resolution is reached in the Middle East conflict, the yield on the US 10-year Treasury bond may fall from its current level of 4.30% to around 4.20%.
