Meta is considering stopping funding to the supervisory committee after 2028.

According to reports, Meta has informed its independent oversight committee members that the company may stop funding the committee after 2028. Meta has already significantly reduced funding for the oversight committee this year and plans to cut it again in 2027 and 2028. It is reported that both parties are currently negotiating a compromise solution to allow the committee to continue operating in some form.
