Rheinmetall and Boeing Australia subsidiaries will provide combat aircraft to the German military.
Sina Finance News reported on March 31st that military manufacturer Rheinmetall Metal has announced an agreement with Boeing's subsidiary in Australia to provide the German military with autonomous combat aircraft to enhance Germany's air power capabilities. Rheinmetall Metals stated that they expect this deal to bring in hundreds of millions of euros in revenue, and will allow the German Federal Armed Forces to procure the MQ-28 Ghost Bat cooperative combat aircraft by 2029. Rheinmetall Metals said that Boeing's MQ-28 Ghost Bat was developed for the Royal Australian Air Force and other allied countries. The company will serve as the system manager for this combat aircraft and oversee its integration into the German military system. Rheinmetall Metal CEO Armin Papperg said, "Through our collaboration with Boeing Defence Australia, we are laying the foundation for optimizing and customizing the MQ-28 according to the requirements of the German Federal Armed Forces."
