Four departments: aiming at ocean transportation, exploring the establishment of an international intelligent shipping corridor.

The Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and State Administration for Market Regulation jointly issued the "Action Plan for Intelligent Shipping 2030". It pointed out that in representative regions such as the Yangtze River Delta, Bohai Rim, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Three Gorges Reservoir area, Pinglu Canal, Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, a group of intelligent shipping comprehensive pilot areas will be designated to promote the implementation of innovative projects for autonomous navigation of inland and coastal freight vessels, achieving the intelligent development of multiple elements such as vessels, ports, waterways, navigation safety, services, and regulatory governance. Typical routes such as the coastal north-south route and inland waterway routes will be selected to designate a group of intelligent shipping pilot routes, strengthen the construction of route-related infrastructure, pilot the promotion of navigation, crew arrangements, and other safety supervision and convenience measures, and integrate intelligent shipping elements on key segments. For ocean shipping, explore the establishment of international intelligent shipping corridors. Based on the technological level and application effects of auxiliary navigation, remote control driving, and autonomous navigation, a group of intelligent shipping pilot vessels will be designated, forming representative ship types to promote the commercial application of intelligent vessels.
