The "Online Sales Product Quality and Safety Enhancement Series Action 2026" was launched in Beijing.
The China National Association for Quality and Safety Promotion of Consumer Goods launched the "Online Product Quality and Safety Improvement Series Action 2026" in Beijing on the 28th. The activity aims to guide the industry to move away from "internal competition" and better protect the quality of online products and the legitimate rights and interests of consumers. Ma Jijun, Secretary-General of the China National Association for Quality and Safety Promotion of Consumer Goods, pointed out that this action aims to combat low-quality and low-price products, protect consumers' legitimate rights and interests, maintain a fair competitive market order, and enhance the vitality of high-quality development. At the same time, it will strengthen consumer education, enhance consumer awareness, and guard against low-price traps. After selection, 11 major categories of 41 products have been identified for monitoring, including household appliances, electronic appliances, electric bicycles, lithium batteries, photovoltaic modules, car tires, clothing, toys, daily necessities, etc. The China National Association for Quality and Safety Promotion of Consumer Goods will promptly provide feedback to relevant government departments on outstanding issues and regularities found in monitoring to support government decision-making. Ten major platform companies including JD.com, Taotian, Douyin, Xiaohongshu, Vipshop, Tencent, Pinduoduo, Suning, Kwai, and Dewo also participated in this activity.
