On March 25th, the German federal government officially adopted the "2026 Climate Protection Plan." Federal Environment Minister Carsten Schneider announced a total of 67 series of measures in Berlin aimed at significantly reducing carbon emissions and speeding up the promotion and application of renewable energy. The German government plans to invest 8 billion euros (approximately 63.644 billion RMB) in this plan, hoping to achieve an additional carbon reduction target of 27.1 million tons by 2030. On the energy consumption side, the plan is expected to reduce the use of approximately 7 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 4 billion liters of gasoline; on the supply side, the focus will be on the onshore wind power plan, with approximately 2,000 wind turbines contributing to a 12 GW increase in installed capacity, equivalent to the current production of about 15-20 gas-fired power plants. In the "2026 Climate Protection Plan," the German government has decided to allocate 3 billion euros through the "Climate and Transformation Fund" (KTF) specifically for restarting car purchase subsidies for low and middle-income families. It is worth noting that Schneider explicitly stated that imported cars will not be excluded from subsidies, including Chinese brands. (Interface).
