In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Representative Law, Yi Lianhong's qualifications as a representative have been terminated. Previously, on February 10, the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission announced that Yi Lianhong, deputy director of the Finance and Economic Committee of the 14th National People's Congress, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary inspection and supervision investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission. Yi Lianhong, born in September 1959 in Lianyuan, Hunan Province, previously held positions such as member of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Secretary-General of the Provincial Party Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Changsha Municipal Party Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Shenyang Municipal Party Committee, deputy secretary of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Shenyang Municipal Party Committee. In 2018, Yi Lianhong served as deputy secretary of the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee and governor, and in October 2021, he became secretary of the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee. In December 2022, he became secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, and resigned in October 2024.
