India imposes taxes on the export of diesel and aviation kerosene.

The Indian Finance Minister announced that India has imposed a tax of 21.5 rupees per liter on diesel exports and a tax of 29.5 rupees per liter on aviation fuel exports. The minister stated, "This will ensure an adequate supply of such products in the domestic market." India also announced a reduction of 10 rupees per liter in central excise duty on domestic consumption of petrol and diesel, in order to protect consumers from price hikes.
