According to Beijing Daily, recently, Beijing Mayor Ying Yong met with the Lord Mayor of London, Lan Xuan. Ying Yong said that in January this year, President Xi Jinping met with Prime Minister Stammer and both sides agreed that China and the UK should develop a long-term stable comprehensive strategic partnership. Beijing is willing to work together with the City of London to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, further deepen exchanges and cooperation, and help push forward the development of bilateral relations at the local level. In recent years, Beijing has fully leveraged its outstanding advantages in education, technology, and talent resources to support economic development with emphasis on high-quality through technological innovation industries and modern service industries. Beijing is the location of many national financial decision-making and management institutions, important financial infrastructure platforms, financial industry associations, and the headquarters of financial institutions. In recent years, efforts have been made to strengthen the function of the national financial management center and promote the opening and development of the financial industry through the construction of the "two zones". Both Beijing and London are financial hubs and internationally influential financial centers in their respective countries. The foundation for cooperation is solid with ample space for further collaboration.
