Shanghai EDA companies are transitioning from EDA tool software to system-level integration in the semiconductor industry.

On March 25th, the semiconductor industry conference SEMICON China officially opened in Shanghai. During the event, domestic EDA company Xinhe Semiconductor announced a transformation and upgrade from an EDA tool software company to system-level integration. Xinhe Semiconductor's founder and president, Dai Wenliang, said in an interview with media such as Jiemian News that with the sharp increase in computational power demand from AI large models, the traditional "single-chip advanced process" path is facing both physical and economic constraints, and the industry's focus is shifting towards system-level integration. The new positioning will use a multi-physics field coupling simulation engine to expand designs from single chips to complete system architectures.
